AC Drives

An AC drive (VFD, variable frequency drive) controls the speed of a three-phase induction motor by varying the supply frequency, saving energy on pumps and fans and giving soft starting on conveyors and machines. This range covers Delta compact drives from small single-phase models to three-phase 415 V models.

How to choose

• Motor rating in kW or HP; select a drive with a current rating equal to or above the motor full-load current.
• Supply: single phase 230 V in, or three phase 415 V in.
• Application: pumps and fans need less overload capacity than cranes or conveyors.
• Mounting, braking and communication needs.
