Contactors | Overload Relays

Contactors switch motors and heavy loads on and off, and thermal overload relays protect the motor from running on overload. Together they form the basic motor starter used in pump, compressor and machine panels. This range includes Schneider contactors and thermal overload relays.

How to choose

Contactor: choose the current rating from the motor kW and the duty (AC-3 for normal motor duty), and the coil voltage (for example 110 V, 230 V or 415 V AC).
Thermal overload relay: choose a setting range that includes the motor full-load current, and make sure it fits the contactor.
Number of auxiliary contacts you need.
